MF-USML/X Low Ohmic PPTC Resettable Fuses

Bourns MF-USML/X Series are resistance surface mount Polymer Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) resettable fuses with a 12V rating. The low ohmic series utilizes Bourns freeXpansion™ design, which increases the performance of the resettable fuse with higher hold currents (I_hold), higher voltages (Vmax), improved resistance stability, and a smaller footprint. The fuses can now achieve 5.5A I_hold at 12V_DCand current ratings of 1.75A to 5.5A in a space-saving 1210 package. Model MF-USML/X fuses are ideal for Li-ion battery packs, motherboards, and portable consumer electronic I/O port protection. The series is designed to protect against both overcurrent and overtemperature events within the designated specifications.

MF-USML PPTC Resettable Fuses

Bourns MF-USML PPTC Resettable Fuses offer a maximum operating current from 1.75A to 7A, resistance values as low as 13.5mΩ, and initial resistance values as low as 1mΩ. These low resistance values help boost the current carrying capability of these devices. The compact MF-USML models use Bourns freeXpansion™ design that increases the performance of the resettable fuse with higher hold currents, higher voltages, improved resistance stability, and smaller footprints. The 1210 footprint with a low profile is ideal for space-constrained mobile, and the surface-mount packaging is suitable for automated assembly. Typical applications for Bourns MF-USML PPTC Resettable Fuses include PC motherboard port protection, USB memory modules, wearable devices, and battery protection for smartphones.

Multifuse® PTC Resettable Fuses

Bourns Multifuse® PTC Resettable Fuses are available in polymer or ceramic with surface-mount, through-hole, or strap-mount configurations. The materials used in these fuses allow them to reset after a fault condition has been removed, and the increase in resistance changes exponentially rather than in a linear manner. Resettable overcurrent protection offers reliability and a longer part life. Bourns Multifuse PTCs provide resettable overcurrent protection, extra-low resistance, and are RoHS compliant. These fuses are ideal circuit protection for a variety of industrial and consumer applications, including computer, battery, automotive, and telecommunications.
