Littelfuse General Port Protection products are ideal for automotive, building automation, consumer electronics, and industrial applications.

Ethernet ESD, Lightning, & Power Fault Protection

Littelfuse Ethernet/PoE ESD, EFT, Lightning, and Power Fault Protection ensures that the power fault overcurrent can be protected with Telelink fuses. The Ethernet Power Fault Protection includes the SMCJ and SP40 TVS Diode, SP3, SRV05xx, LC03xx, and SP40xx Diode Array, and the 0461xxx Fuse series. RS-485 ESD, Lightning, & Power Fault Protection

Littelfuse RS-485 ESD, Lightning, and Power Fault Protection feature polymeric positive temperature coefficients (PPTCs) that can protect against short circuit and power crosses. The RS-485 product line includes the resettable PPTCs, TVS diodes, GDTs, and SIDACtor series. The TVS Diode Arrays and SM712 series are specifically designed to protect RS-485 applications from ESD, EFT, and lightning-induced surges. When lightning occurs, the SIDACtor will react by causing voltage to increase across PPTC until GDT fires.

SL0902A/CG5 Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs)

Littelfuse SL0902A/CG5 Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs) offer high surge ratings in a miniature package. The SL0902A/CG5 devices provide high protection against fast-rising transients in the 100V/μs to 1kV/μs range, typically caused by lightning disturbances. These robust GDTs can divert a 2500A pulse without destruction and deliver high protection using non-radioactive elements. The series is UL recognized, RoHS compliant, lead free, and conforms to ITU-T K12 and IEC 1000-4-5. Additional features include ultra-low insertion loss, low capacitance of <1pF, and a GHz working frequency. Typical applications for Littelfuse SL0902A/CG5 GDTs include communication equipment, data lines, power supplies, and ADSL, ADSL2+, and XDSL equipment.
