Power Modules for UAV

Vicor Power Modules offer increased payload capability and flight times for commercial unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) applications. UAVs' size, weight, and power (SWaP) are a major contributor to their design and directly affect UAV companies regarding payload capability and flight time. UAV size and weight are influenced by the power delivery network (PDN). Increasing the range, functionality, and payload is easier with a lightweight, high-density, high-efficiency DC-DC power delivery solution. Vicor Power Modules allow the rapid deployment of power delivery and DC-DC power conversion across a wide range of power levels and voltages for both onboard systems and ground control.

ZVS Buck Boost Regulators

Vicor ZVS Buck-Boost Regulators are high efficiency, wide input range DC-DC regulators integrating controller, power switches, and support components all within a high-density system-in-package (SiP). The high switching frequency operation reduces the size of the external filtering components, improves power density, and enables very fast dynamic response to line and load transients, sustaining high switching frequency up to the rated input voltage without sacrificing efficiency and supporting large conversion ratios. The ZVS Buck-Boost Regulators feature over 98% efficiency at >800kHz FSW, fast transient response, and are parallel capable with single wire current sharing.

12V/24V/48V ZVS Buck-Boost & Buck Regulators

Vicor Cool-Power® ZVS Buck-Boost Regulators combine high-efficiency zero-voltage switching (ZVS) topology with a high-density system-in-pack (SiP) design to provide high performance with ease of design. The Cool-Power regulators integrate the switching controller, power switches, and all active components. The regulators can deliver high efficiency, including over 98%, depending on the model. These units offer a fast transient response and are parallel capable with single-wire current sharing. The 48V regulators convert input voltages as high as 60V to outputs as low as 2.2V at up to 22A, eliminating the need for intermediate conversion stages. The regulators enable high-efficiency 48V to point-of-load (PoL) conversion. Applications include lighting, computing, communications, industrial, networking, automotive equipment, and more.
