Amphenol / SV Microwave TraceGuard Edge Launch PCB Connectors are engineered to maintain exceptional signal integrity and high RF performance, even in demanding, high-mating-cycle environments. These robust connectors address a critical failure mode commonly associated with traditional PCB edge launch designs: specifically, solder joint damage caused by rotational forces during mating. Amphenol / SV Microwave's torque-resistant solution uses a two-part contact assembly and glass seal captivation, which isolates rotational stress from the soldered PCB contact. This solution also ensures long-term reliability and mechanical robustness. The next-generation design is suitable for mission-critical applications where solder joint integrity and electrical RF signal cannot be compromised. The TraceGuard series is also ideal for test and measurement equipment, embedded systems, and PCB prototyping and evaluation boards.
