CY7111 EZ-PD™ PMG1 S1 MCU Prototyping Kit

Infineon Technologies CY7111 EZ-PD™ PMG1 S1 MCU Prototyping Kit enables the development of USB PD sink applications using the EZ-PD PMG1 S1 microcontrollers. The EZ-PD PMG1 is a family of high-voltage power delivery microcontrollers. These microcontrollers include Arm® Cortex®-M0/M0+ CPU, USB Power Delivery (PD) controller, and configurable analog and digital peripherals. The Infineon CY7111 EZ-PD PMG1 S1 MCU prototyping kit supports a single-port USB PD 3.0 sink role, USB bus-powered operation, onboard KitProg3 programming/debugging module, and onboard 3.3V regulator. This prototyping kit also offers firmware-controlled LED and user buttons, I/O headers, 100W (20V/5A) power handling capability, and a standard breadboard-compatible design.

CY4500 EZ-PD™ Protocol Analyzer

Infineon Technologies CY4500 EZ-PD™ Protocol Analyzer records the USB Power Delivery protocol traffic (USB-PD) on the Configuration Channel (CC) of a USB Type-C™ connector. This signal is used to negotiate the power provided on the connector and Alternate Modes and Accessory Modes. The CY4500 EZ-PD Protocol Analyzer connects in-line between two Type-C products and acts as a pass-through for V_BUS, V_CONN, USB 3.1, USB 2.0, and USB-PD traffic. While connected, it does not disturb any of the signals. This feature enables the capture of PD negotiation for power, USB data roles, DisplayPort, or other Type-C Alternate Modes. The included Windows-based EZ-PD Analyzer Utility provides developers with an easy-to-use GUI to decode the USB-PD messages.
