Mobile Robot Motor Control Demo Boards
Infineon Technologies Mobile Robot Motor Control Demo Boards can be used to provide a demonstration platform for autonomous service robot functionalities applying Infineon components. These boards can be combined to create that platform. The DEMO_IMR_MTRCTRL_V1 is a high-efficiency and small form factor solution that controls the motors, allowing the robot to move around and perform the required tasks. Infineon's expertise in this area is demonstrated by the MOTIX™ IMD701A fully programmable motor controller, which combines the XMC1404 microcontroller and MOTIX™ 6EDL7141 3-phase gate driver IC, drastically reducing BOM and enabling more compact designs. The DEMO_IMR_ANGLE_SENS_V1 features the XENSIV™ TLE5012B E1000, a 360° magnetic angle sensor that detects the orientation of a magnetic field. This detection is achieved by measuring cosine and sine angle components with monolithic integrated Giant Magneto Resistance (iGMR) elements. These raw sine and cosine signals are digitally processed internally to calculate the angle orientation of the magnetic field of a magnet, which is mounted to the motor shaft.
