KYOCERA AVX Multilayer Organic (MLO) Inductors are low-profile inductors based on KYOCERA AVX's patented multilayer organic technology. This technology incorporates low-loss organic materials that allow for high Q and high stability over frequency. These MLO devices offer significant electrical, physical, and reliability advantages over traditional discrete RF or LTCC solutions.

Multilayer Organic (MLO) Products

KYOCERA AVX Multilayer Organic (MLO™) is a revolutionary technology based on a polymer organic high-density interconnect technology that utilizes thin and low-loss dielectrics to achieve excellent RF performance at high frequency. The MLO allows for the realization of high Q factor and low-profile surface mount components such as capacitors, inductors, diplexers, and filters in various case sizes and form factors. KYOCERA AVX Multilayer Organic Products deliver an alternative to LTCCs for dense, high-performance applications.

HLC Multilayer Organic High Current Inductors

KYOCERA AVX HLC Multilayer Organic (MLO™) High Current Inductors are low-profile organic-based inductors that allow for much higher current handling over similar multilayer ceramic chip inductors. These inductors offer a 50% average increase in current handling over comparable thin-film products with similar Q and current handling similar to that of wire wound ceramic chip inductors. The inductors incorporate very low loss organic materials which allow for high Q and high stability over high frequencies. They are surface mountable and are expansion matched to FR4 printed wiring boards. KYOCERA AVX HLC Multilayer Organic High Current Inductors utilize fine line high density interconnect technology thereby allowing for tight tolerance control and high repeatability. Applications include mobile communications, satellite applications, GPS, matching networks, and collision avoidance.
