NXP Semiconductors FS04 High Voltage Safety PMICs
NXP Semiconductors FS04 High Voltage Safety PMICs are automotive multi-output power management ICs for central compute, gateway, domain controller, and zonal controller applications. The FS04 devices combine a high-voltage buck converter, multiple high-efficiency switched-mode power supplies, and a linear voltage regulator for S32N processor power architectures. The PMICs incorporate enhanced safety features, such as fail-safe outputs and dedicated S32N safety pins, supporting ASIL B and ASIL D safety integrity levels.
The NXP FS04 PMICs support safety-oriented system partitioning and can be configured as a non-safety QM-version part when required. The devices integrate one high-voltage synchronous buck controller, five internal-stage buck regulators, one boost regulator, one low-power LDO or load switch, real-time monitoring, diagnostics, ABIST, LBIST, and high-speed I2C communication. The FS04 PMICs also provide low-power standby operation, advanced thermal monitoring, configurable OTP memory, and automotive AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualification for demanding vehicle compute platforms.
