Littelfuse LJxx08/QJxx08 High Temperature 8A Triacs
Littelfuse LJxx08/QJxx08 High-Temperature 8A Triacs are sensitive alternistor (high-commutation) solid-state switching triacs designed for AC switching and phase control applications. These sensitive type triacs guarantee gate control in quadrants I and IV needed for digital control circuitry. The alternistor type triacs only operate in the quadrants I, II, and III. These triacs are used in circuits that require high dv/dt capability. Littelfuse LJxx08/QJxx08 High-Temperature 8A Triacs incorporate solid-state switching that eliminates arcing or contact bounce that creates voltage transients. Typical applications include heating, lighting, motor speed controls, AC solid-state switches, light dimmers, power tools, home/brown goods, and white goods appliances.Features

- Voltage capability up to 800V
- Surge capability up to 100A at 60Hz, half cycle

- No contacts to wear out from reaction of switching events
- Restricted (or limited) RFI generation, depending on the activation point of the sine wave
- Requires only a short gate activation pulse in each half-cycle
