Bourns 1440 Series DC Surge Protective Devices (SPDs)
Bourns 1440 Series DC Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) are designed to protect photovoltaic systems from damage caused by lightning and power surges up to rated limits. These SPDs include a 50kA maximum discharge current and a 7.5kA impulse discharge current. The 1440 devices use high-energy MOV technology with an advanced Thermal Disconnector (TD+) to protect from the effects of direct or indirect lightning. These SPDs feature status indicators, common mode and differential mode protection, and remote signaling capability. The 1440 SPDs operate at 1500VDC voltage and -40°C to 85°C temperature range. These SPDs are Din-rail mountable and comply with IEC/EN 61643-31 Class I + Class II / T1 + T2 and RoHS standards. Typical applications include DC power systems, photovoltaic systems, and EV charging stations.Features
