CML Micro CMX994EF Direct Conversion Receiver

CML Micro CMX994EF Direct Conversion Receiver is a high‑performance IC that replaces earlier receiver generation ICs from CML with improved functionality and power efficiency. This receiver features enhanced PowerTrade™ technology, allowing the designers to dynamically balance power consumption and performance. The CMX994EF receiver integrates a broadband LNA with gain control and followed by a high dynamic range, very high IIP2, and an I/Q demodulator. The receiver baseband section includes amplifiers and precisely configurable bandwidth baseband filter stages. An integrated integer‑N PLL with a VCO negative-resistance amplifier provides flexible local oscillator generation, supporting external LO operation and multiple divide options.

The CMX994EF receiver operates from a single 3V to 3.6V supply voltage and supports frequencies from 100MHz to 1GHz range, with extended operation down to 30MHz. The improved power‑up and power‑down transient response enables faster switching and better power‑saving performance. The CMX994EF receiver is offered in a compact 40‑pin VQFN package and is suitable for narrowband and wideband radio applications.
