Coherent SES18-880A-190-10 880nm Single-Emitter Laser Diode is specially designed for high-reliability, high-efficiency pumping of diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers. This high-power laser diode on submount delivers 18W optical output power, more than 62% conversion efficiency, and 97% polarization extinction ratio, offering superior performance and cost-effectiveness. With a 190µm emitter, this 880nm-class diode is engineered for precision applications requiring excellent beam quality and scalable power. The 880nm pumping feature also provides reduced thermal lensing, lower quantum defects, and enhanced mode quality compared to traditional 808nm solutions.
The SES18-880A-190-10 single-emitter laser diode is built on a 6" GaAs wafer platform from Coherent with fully vertically integrated manufacturing, from epitaxial wafer growth to chip design and submount packaging. The optimized front-facet reflectivity and wavelength range (870nm to 876nm) offer compatibility with volume Bragg grating (VBG) stabilization, providing precise wavelength control and alignment flexibility. The diode's advanced chip architecture ensures consistent performance, robust thermal management, and high polarization purity, making it ideal for end-pumped DPSS systems.
