Digi Connect EZ 4 WS Medical Serial Server
Digi Connect EZ 4 WS Medical Serial Server allows seamless serial-over-Ethernet connectivity, streamlining the integration of patient device data into hospital EMRs and other downstream systems. The EZ 4 WS was developed for use in patient care environments and complies with IEC 60601 3rd Edition standards while featuring four RS-232 serial ports. The Digi Connect EZ WS also supplies reliable Ethernet connectivity for serial devices, guaranteeing secure data transmission to central management systems. Digi’s RealPort® technology facilitates seamless and secure communication between a host computer and networked serial devices by forming a local COM or TTY port. This connection provides reliable data transmission while delivering system administrators advanced control over incoming, outgoing, and Telnet sessions on each port.
Digi simplifies key security needs for critical infrastructure and distributed systems with improved access control, management, and configuration capabilities. Digi Connect EZ WS and built-in Digi TrustFence® protect against evolving threats with encrypted connections, centralized authentication, VPN support, and scalable security updates.
A built-in Python environment allows application development and customization at the device level with event-based programmability, data conversion, and complete control of device connections.
