DLP Design DLP-RFS-LOCATOR

The DLP Design DLP-RFS-LOCATOR is a radio-frequency (RF) development tool for demonstrating both the ranging and locating features of the DLP-RFS1280 transceiver module. This device operates at 2.4GHz and consists of a single master transceiver that can locate up to 50 targets. The DLP-RFS-LOCATOR offers three modes of operation: Learn, Search, and Ranging. In Learn Mode, the master transceiver requests 16-bit IDs from all targets within range. The user can select a specific “active” target within Search Mode. Ranging Mode uses a Semtech SX1280 transceiver chip feature to determine the distance to the selected target transceiver.

The DLP-RFS-LOCATOR presents all data on an LCD during Learn, Search, and Ranging operations. The device can be used to demonstrate how to find lost items using its Search and Ranging modes and built-in, high-gain Yagi antenna.
