KEMET Polymer Hermetic Seal (PHS) Capacitors
KEMET Polymer Hermetic Seal (PHS) Capacitors are tantalum capacitors with axial through hole and SMD mounting options. These capacitors include a conductive organic polymer that offers low ESR and improved capacitance retention at low temperature and high frequency. The PHS capacitors demonstrate a benign failure mode, which removes the breach case that can occur in wet tantalum capacitors. Typical applications include buck/boost converters, power supplies, and hold-up capacitors.T550 PHS Capacitors
The T550 PHS Capacitors operate at 105°C maximum temperature and are qualified according to the DLA drawing 13030 standards. These axial leaded capacitors include an F-tech anode that removes hidden defects in the dielectric.
T551 PHS Capacitors
The T551 PHS Capacitors operate at 125°C maximum temperature, and the case dimensions are equivalent to MIL-PRF-39006/22/25/30/31. These axial leaded capacitors use up to 80% of rated voltage and are volumetrically efficient.
T555 PHS Capacitors
The T555 PHS surface mount capacitors operate at 105°C maximum temperature. These capacitors feature polymer cathode technology and 100% constant voltage conditioning (240 hours).
T556 PHS Capacitors
The T556 PHS surface mount capacitors feature 100% simulated breakdown screening, 100% tested surge current, and ≤0.0075μA CV at rated voltage after 5 minutes. These capacitors operate at 125°C maximum operating temperature range.
