NXP Semiconductors S32K389 Automotive General Purpose MCUs

NXP Semiconductors S32K389 Automotive General Purpose MCUs are part of the S32K3 platform, introducing 12MB flash and 2.3MB SRAM and up to 12x CAN FD interfaces. Additionally, the S32K389 features trusted higher core performance (Arm® Cortex®-M7 at 320MHz with Lockstep/Split-Lock modes, 2x 1Gbps Ethernet, HSE-B with AES accelerator) to merge body, comfort, and gateway control. The devices reduce cost and complexity across vehicle domains.

The NXP S32K389 Automotive General Purpose MCUs are based on the 32-bit Arm Cortex-M7 S32K3 microcontrollers in a 437-MAPBGA package. The S32K389 desprovides FOTA A/B firmware swap, powerful analog interfaces, and low-power run mode. The S32K389 expands the S32K3 family into advanced body electronics, battery management, and zone control applications.
