Aaron Telitz and Frankie Montecalvo also earned a third-place podium finish in the GTD class to capture a double podium result for Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing.

“Congratulations to the entire Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team and what a great performance by Jack, Ben, Aaron and Frankie at Long Beach this weekend,” said Todd McAtee, Senior Vice President, Business Development for Mouser Electronics. “It was a thrilling race, and the team did an amazing job. Brilliant team work.”

The No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 led all 73 laps during Saturday's 100-minute sprint event. Hawksworth earned the pole position and led 28 laps before turning driving duties of the Vasser Sullivan No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 over to Barnicoat. The Vasser Sullivan pit crew had a flawless pit stop to get the No. 14 Lexus back out in front of the GTD PRO field for the final 45 laps.

It marks the first victory at Long Beach for Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing and the first win of the 2023 season. It is also the third straight podium finish by the No. 14 to start the 2023 season and gives Hawksworth and Barnicoat the GTD PRO championship lead after three races.

Telitz and Montecalvo earned their first podium finish of the season with a third-place result. It is the third straight top-five result for the driver duo this year. Montecalvo started the race second in the GTD class and ran in the top three until Telitz jumped behind the wheel of the No. 12 Lexus with an hour left. Telitz ran a clean stint and held the third-place position until the checkered flag. The No. 12 team currently sits second in the GTD points.
