June 26, 2023Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader™ empowering innovation, congratulates the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team, who took first place in both the Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) and GTD PRO classes in Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen in Watkins Glen, New York on June 25. The double win marks the first time in program history that both Lexus RC F GT3 race cars were victorious in the same race.

"Congratulations to the entire Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team for sweeping both the GTD and GTD PRO classes at Watkins Glen!" said Todd McAtee, Senior Vice President, Business Development for Mouser Electronics. "This strengthens our current lead in the GTD PRO championship with several races left in the season. We are excited about the season and looking forward to where we can finish."

Driver Aaron Telitz, with help from co-drivers Frankie Montecalvo and Parker Thompson, took the GTD class Lexus RC F GT3 into the lead in the first hour and stayed out front most of the day. The victory was Thompson's first in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship competition, while it was Montecalvo's second and Telitz's fifth.

Meanwhile, in the GTD PRO class, Jack Hawksworth and his co-driver Ben Barnicoat had to work especially hard for their win, having to overcome a drive-through penalty for a pit lane speed violation. The penalty lost them their 15-second lead, but in the end, they persevered to regain their time and score their victory, along with an increase in their lead in the GTD PRO championship points standing. Co-drivers Hawksworth and Barnicoat have now built an amazing streak of nine podium finishes dating to the middle of the 2022 season.

Mouser and valued manufacturer partner Molex co-sponsor the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team, seeing the opportunity as an inventive way to communicate its performance-driven business model and promote the newest technologies.

The season continues July 7-9, with the Canadian Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario. Four more races follow before the season wraps up at the Motul Petit Le Mans in Atlanta on October 14.
