The Menlo Micro MM5230 RF Switch IC, available from Mouser, is a high-power device SP4T micro-mechanical switch that operates at a 26 GHz maximum frequency. This RF switch is incorporated into the Ideal Switch® fabrication process and applied to DC and wideband RF/microwave switch applications. This technology enables highly reliable switches capable of handling 25W power. The MM5230 switch IC provides ultra-low insertion loss and superior linearity as an SP4T from DC to 18GHz and greater than 3 billion switching cycles. This RF switch IC offers the power handling and RF performance of an EM relay with the size, weight, reliability, and speed of the solid state.
The MM5230 IC is normally configured as an SP4T, with input on the RFC channel. This RF switch is ideal for switched filter banks and tunable filters, high-power RF front ends, antenna tuning, low-loss switch matrices, and EM relay replacement.
The MM5230 RF Switch is suitable for industries such as defense and aerospace, medical equipment, test and measurement, and wireless infrastructure.
