October 5, 2021Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, is now stocking the LTC2688 SoftSpan™ digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, Inc. The LTC2688 provides engineers with advanced capability, efficiency and programmability for a variety of optical networking, automation, and telecom applications.

The Analog Devices LTC2688, available from Mouser Electronics, is a 16-channel, 16-bit DAC with integrated precision reference to improve the accuracy of the outputs. The DAC features independently programmable channels, with five output ranges from 0 V up to ±15 V. Offering monotonic stability, the LTC2688 includes built-in rail-to-rail output buffers that can source or sink up to ±20 mA.

The LTC2688 also offers external reference for additional range options and an analog multiplexer to simplify measurement of pin voltages, load currents, and junction temperature. The serial peripheral interface (SPI) and MICROWIRE™-compatible, 3-wire serial interface operates on logic levels as low as 1.71 V and clock rates up to 50 MHz.

The LTC2688 is supported by the DC2873A-B evaluation board, also available from Mouser. The DC2873A-B is a fully featured evaluation board that, when paired with the required DC2026C demo board, enables designers to use Analog Devices’ Analysis, Control, Evaluation (ACE) software to configure and control the onboard LTC2688 DAC.
