Mouser-Backed DS PENSKE Formula E Racing Team Looks to Keep the Momentum Going for Jakarta E-Prix

June 18, 2025 — Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader™ empowering innovation, is proud to support the DS PENSKE Formula E team as they head to the Indonesian capital of Jakarta for round 12 of the Season 11 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship on June 21. Team drivers for the Jakarta race are Maximilian Günther and two-time Formula E Champion Jean-Éric Vergne, fresh off a spectacular 1st and 2nd Place Double Podium in Shanghai.

The 2.37 km Jakarta E-Prix track was largely purpose-built for the Formula E race, debuting in 2022. The circuit includes 18 turns and features a horse-like design inspired by the traditional Javanese Kuda Lumping dance, which portrays troops riding horses. The turn 13 hairpin is the most demanding braking zone on the track, sure to test every aspect of car and driver performance.

The DS PENSKE team will be driving the new GEN3 Evo car, which is faster and more agile than its predecessors and features an aggressive new body kit designed to be stronger, more robust and more aerodynamic. The new GEN3 Evo cars can go from 0-60 mph in 1.82 seconds, 30% faster than an F1 car. It also allows for all-wheel drive, a first for a Formula E car.

Mouser is supporting the DS PENSKE team for the globe-trekking 2024/2025 season in collaboration with TTI, Inc., and valued manufacturers Molex and KYOCERA AVX. Mouser and Molex have been partnering to sponsor Formula E racing since 2015.
