Mouser-Sponsored Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing Team Tackles Historic Canadian Track for IMSA Chevy Grand Prix

June 28, 2022 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, will be cheering on the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team in the eighth race of the season at the Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario, on July 3.

Mouser is teaming up with Molex LLC to sponsor the No. 12 and No. 17 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 GTD Class and the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 GTD PRO Class entries for the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. Team drivers for the season include Jack Hawksworth, Kyle Kirkwood and Ben Barnicoat in the No. 14 and No. 17 cars and Townsend Bell, Richard Heistand, Frank Montecalvo and Aaron Telitz in the No. 12 car.

Mouser previously sponsored the Vasser Sullivan IndyCar team, seeing the opportunity as an inventive way to communicate its performance-driven business model and promote the newest technologies; since then, the Mouser and Molex relationship with Vasser Sullivan has bred success, having won the Indianapolis 500 and producing multiple wins and podiums with Vasser Sullivan IndyCar.

The 2022 season will mark the fourth season Lexus and Vasser Sullivan have partnered together. During that time, the Lexus RC F GT3 has earned seven GTD class wins, 18 podiums and nine pole positions.

Next the team heads to Lakeville, Connecticut, for the FCP Euro Northeast Grand Prix on July 16, followed by two more races before the finale at Motul Petit Le Mans, September 28–October 1 in Atlanta.
