Mouser-Sponsored Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing Team Looks to Keep the Momentum Going for IMSA Laguna Seca Race
May 9, 2023 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader™ empowering innovation, proudly sponsors the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team and is excited to cheer them on at the Motul Course De Monterey Powered by Hyundai N. The race, set for May 14, will be at the famed WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA. This will be the fourth race of the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
The Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team is coming off a fantastic weekend at the Grand Prix of Long Beach, where the No. 14 GTD PRO car, driven by Ben Barnicoat and Jack Hawksworth, finished in first place, and the No. 12 GTD car, driven by Aaron Telitz and Frankie Montecalvo, finished in third place. The team is looking for another double-podium finish in Monterey.
The Vasser Sullivan team currently sits in first place in the GTD PRO team standings with 1,067 points and in third place in the GTD team standings with 908 points, just one point behind second.
The Laguna Seca Raceway is 2.238 miles long, features 11 turns, and is highlighted by the circuit's signature turn, the downhill-plunging Corkscrew. The Corkscrew's elevation change makes it a one-of-a-kind turn in motorsports. In a distance of just 450 feet, the elevation drops 59 feet and continues to drop another 100 feet in the following three turns.

The Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing Team will tackle the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen next, followed by five more races before the season-finale Motul Petit Le Mans in Atlanta on October 14.
