Mouser-Sponsored Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing Team Celebrates First Place Win at IMSA Long Beach
April 24, 2024 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader™ empowering innovation, congratulates Ben Barnicoat and Parker Thompson of the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team on their exciting first-place finish in the GTD class at Saturday's IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach in California. Thompson also earned the Motul Pole Award with a track record lap on Friday, and then he and Barnicoat combined to dominate Saturday's 100-minute race. They only briefly lost the lead during their single pit stop and driver change. This was the second consecutive win of the season for the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team and the team's 21st overall.

Jack Hawksworth and Frankie Montecalvo, who also raced in the GTD class this weekend, got off to a promising start after Montecalvo qualified to start second. Unfortunately, the car sustained damage with under 40 minutes remaining in the race and finished 15th.
The next round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is the Motul Course de Monterey, May 10-12 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
