TDK InvenSense IIM-20670 MotionTracking MEMS Device, Now Available at Mouser, Supports Industrial, Drone, and Robotics Applications

January 11, 2024 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the IIM-20670 MotionTracking^® MEMS device from TDK InvenSense. The IIM-20670 is a robust SmartIndustrial™ 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) for tilt and stabilization applications. The device supports industrial applications requiring extreme stability over temperature and strong immunity to vibration. The IIM-20670 is an ideal choice for industrial automation, 5G platforms, robotics, and industrial and agricultural drones.

The TDK InvenSense IIM-20670 device, now available at Mouser, consists of a monolithic 6-axis IMU, a 3-axis accelerometer, and a 3-axis gyroscope. The IIM-20670 offers impressive shock robustness, as well as the ability to measure all six axes simultaneously while maintaining current consumption below 10 mA under all operating conditions. The IIM-20670 device features programmable digital filters and a 10 MHz SPI interface capable of assessing data integrity using a CRC-based error-detecting code algorithm.

The IIM-20670 MotionTracking MEMS device offers an accelerometer thermal stability of 1.7 µg/C, accelerometer bias repeatability of 1 mg, and a programmable output of 64 G. The new MEMS device is RoHS and Green compliant and is housed in a compact 4.5 mm x 4.5 mm x 1.1 mm DQFN package, ideal for space-constrained applications.

The DK-20670 development kit, also available from Mouser, is a demonstration and evaluation platform for the IIM-20670 MotionTracking MEMS device. The DK-20670 development kit provides an example application circuit, allowing rapid prototyping when incorporated into existing designs.
