Mouser-Sponsored Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing Team Tackles IMSA Long Beach Circuit

April 5, 2022 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, proudly sponsors the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team and will be cheering them on in the third race of the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach (California) on April 9.

Mouser is teaming up with Molex LLC to sponsor both the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan-Lexus RC F GT3 GTD PRO Class and the No. 12 Vasser Sullivan-Lexus RC F GT3 GTD Class entries for the 2022 season. Team drivers for the season include Jack Hawksworth, Kyle Kirkwood and Ben Barnicoat in the No. 14 car and Townsend Bell, Richard Heistand, Frank Montecalvo and Aaron Telitz in the No. 12 car.

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach offers a long weekend of racing action, including Friday’s qualifying event, two days of the Porsche Carrera Cup, and the action-packed 100-minute race on Saturday.

Mouser previously sponsored the Vasser Sullivan IndyCar team, seeing the opportunity as an inventive way to communicate its performance-driven business model and promote the newest technologies; since then, the Mouser and Molex relationship with Vasser Sullivan has bred success, having won the Indianapolis 500 and producing multiple wins and podiums with Vasser Sullivan IndyCar.

The 2022 season marks the fourth season Lexus and Vasser Sullivan have partnered together. During that time, the Lexus RC F GT3 has earned seven GTD class wins, 18 podiums and nine pole positions.

After Long Beach, the series moves up the California coast to the Hyundai Monterey Sports Car Championship at Laguna Seca, followed by seven more races before the finale at Motul Petit Le Mans, September 28–October 1 in Atlanta.
