New at Mouser: TE Connectivity/Laird 5G Phantom No Ground Plane Required Antennas for IoT Applications
May 23, 2023 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is now shipping the 5G Phantom no ground plane required antennas from TE Connectivity / Laird External Antennas. The 5G Phantom no ground plane required antennas provide engineers with a versatile global cellular antenna option for IoT, freight and transportation environments, as well as public safety applications.
TE Connectivity's (TE) / Laird External Antennas 5G Phantom no ground plane required antennas, available from Mouser Electronics, cover either the 617 MHz to 7125 MHz or 698 MHz to 7125 MHz frequency bands without needing a fixed ground plane, even for regions where lower 600 MHz bands are required. These antennas offer global cellular coverage in a tamper-resistant, direct-mount, threaded stud with superior quality and integrated N-female connector, for tamper-resistant installation.
The 5G Phantom no ground plane required antennas direct coaxial connection provides consistent performance, even at higher frequencies, avoiding performance losses of other mounting methods. Minimum gain ripple around horizon and uniform azimuth patterns reduces the chance of signal dropouts, while offering consistency and minimal shifting gain. The 5G Phantom series delivers high levels of efficiency, over 95% up to 4200 MHz, and gain up to 8.0-dBi. These rugged antennas also feature a tamper-resistant and highly durable IP67-rated enclosure and UL 94 flammability rating, making them ideal for harsh environments.
