FTDI Chip LC231X / LC234X Development Modules

FTDI LC231X and LC234X Modules bridge USB to UART for transfer of 300bps to 3Mbps of data. The modules feature configurable IO voltage interfaces, USB 2.0 full speed, and a low supply current of 10mA. LC231X and LC234X have an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Power output to external logic is 5V for LC234X. The power output to external logic for LC231X can be set to either 3.3V or 5V using the onboard jumper. The LC231X also offers 2 interface options. LEDs are included with both modules to provide confirmation of data transmission on the UART signals. Both modules are RoHS compliant. Typical applications include USB to UART bridge, debugger/programmer for embedded MCUs, and USB IO extender for small 8-bit micros.
