Texas Instruments AMC3301/AMC3301-Q1 Reinforced Isolated Amplifier
Texas Instruments AMC3301/AMC3301-Q1 Reinforced Isolated Amplifier is a precision, isolated amplifier with a fully integrated, isolated DC/DC converter that allows single-supply operation from the low side of the device. The reinforced capacitive isolation barrier is certified according to VDE V 0884-11 and UL1577 and separates sections of the system that operate on different common-mode voltage levels. Texas Instruments AMC3301/AMC3301-Q1 also protects low-voltage domains from damage.
The AMC3301's input is optimized for direct connection to shunt resistors or other low-voltage-level signal sources. The integrated isolated DC/DC converter allows flexible placement of the shunt and the AMC3301, making the device a unique solution for space-constrained applications.
The excellent performance of the device supports accurate current monitoring and control, which is an important feature in achieving low torque ripple in motor control applications. The integrated DC/DC converter fault-detection and diagnostic output pin of the AMC3301 simplify system-level design and diagnostics.
The AMC3301 is specified over the industrial temperature range of –40°C to +125°C. The AMC3301-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
