Texas Instruments CC3200AUDBOOST Wi-Fi CC3200 Audio BoosterPack

Texas Instruments CC3200AUDBOOST SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi® CC3200 Audio BoosterPack enables the evaluation and development with the digital audio peripheral [I²S] present on the SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3200 device. This BoosterPack can be used along with the SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3200 Launchpad (CC3200-LAUNCHXL). It contains a Class-D power amplifier to drive the speakers and an ultra-low power audio codec, TLV320AIC3254, which supports programmable audio processing. Speakers, headsets, and microphones are sold separately. Applications include Wi-Fi speakers, doorbells, baby monitors, Wi-Fi headsets, Wi-Fi audio streaming, and walkie-talkies.

TLV320AIC3254 included in the design, low power stereo audio codec with miniDSP and power TuneTM technology, connected to CC3200 via I2S
Uses TPA2012D2, an Onboard 2.1 W/CH, stereo, filters free, class-D audio power amplifiers to drive audio output to various interfaces
Two operating modes: (1) Capture audio via microphone or Stereo/Mono jack and stream over Wi-Fi, (2) Playback Wi-Fi audio stereo or a digital speaker via the onboard stereo audio jack or terminal blocks

Audio demo application provided requires two C3200-LAUNCHXL + CC3200AUDBOOST setups, in station mode and provides unicast streaming of PCM audio at 16 kHz, 16-bit samples over Wi-Fi to the second LaunchPad
